hello.  amber here.  just wanted to let you in on MY 4th.  i just took my little point and shoot so the pictures are blurry and i’m too lazy to edit them but you can deal.  :)  i had an A-W-E-S-O-M-E time.  my hubby and i went up to atlanta and stayed the weekend.  he won 2 nights at the renaissance downtown (shout out to the cook who makes the belgian waffles in the morning!) and tickets to the aquarium.  on the 4th we were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony.

our view:

we ate at home restaurant.  for those of you who are smart enough to love top chef, richard blais (of this past season) is the executive chef there.  we spent a ridiculous amount of money and had the most RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING meal of our lives.  we also went to ikea (holla!) and spent money.  and i shopped (my fav hobby) and spent money.  so in other news, if you’d like to get pictures, now would be a good time because jared and i need to pay our mortgage and we are BROKE.  haha!  but seriously…

The Fourth

Hey, Greta here.  Zack and the kids and I had a very relaxing (but HOTTT) day on the fourth.  We went to my parents’ for picnicking and swimming with family, and after that we went over to eat MORE yummy food and play rock band (my first time - I was pretty terrible on drums, by the way) over at Jonathan and Andrea’s house. I picked my camera up one time the whole day (well, night, really)… when we went out with the kids to play with some sparklers and watch the neighbors’ fireworks. Yeah, I’m pretty ashamed, I was being completely lazy all day. I’ll do better next year. We had such a fun day!

Russell

this blog post is coming directly to you from amber!  i exist! and i had a great time shooting our last senior session.  russell was game for anything,  which was great because it was a MILLION degrees.  i wish we would have gotten around to playing in the fountain, but we still had a great time.  we grabbed a few family shots before focusing on russell.  his girlfriend also came along so we grabbed a couple with her as well.  cute!  we started downtown at the flint river and walked around stopping wherever we deemed worthy (haha).  then everyone wanted a cherry limeade (diet for me!) so the last few were at sonic.  i definitely had a great time and really pushed myself to try new angles and expand my post processing borders.  sometimes you get so stuck in the same things.  greta is a doll at patiently describing things to me. :)  anyway, these are a few of my favorites:

Landon and Chandler’s 58th birthday party….

Well, make that FIVE and EIGHT.  The party was at the Albany Museum of Art, and it was SO much fun!  The spin art was a BIG hit.  Even the grown-ups got involved in that.

I like this pic, because this is a look I see on Landon’s face often… that, “Are you crazy???” look.  Maybe it’s just me, though…

Here, Chandler was explaining to me in vivid detail that what he was coloring was his hat, and not my hat.

Quick family session…

We scheduled a senior session with Russell, which you’ll see later this week, and his mom wanted to also do another session to get some family portraits of herself with her mom, dad, and sister.  We also grabbed a couple shots of her parents with their great-granddaughter.  We did all this right before it started pouring rain.  So, we moved Russel’s senior session to one week later, and it went off without a hitch.  But here are a couple from the pre-torrential rain family shots! :)
